Women of F&W Series: Emily W.

At what moment did you realize you needed healing —mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually, etc.?

When I suffered from a miscarriage in 2019. Given the ability to carry life and then experiencing loss at the snap of a finger made me look at life differently. I realized we take life for granted and I owe God and myself the best version I have to offer. God doesn't want us to suffer.

Based on challenges or struggles you were or are facing, how has faith helped you find strength in your healing journey?

My faith has provided me with a sense of purpose, confidence, and resilience during my season of various challenges. Because of the God I serve, I trust in his plan and that gives me the courage to keep moving. It also has given me a new outlook on life. My faith has taught me to embrace the challenges because I know a better version of myself is to come.

How have wellness practices contributed to your healing journey?

Wellness practices like prayer, meditation, journaling, exercising, and therapy; have been my recipe for my healing journey. These habits have reduced stress, opened the door for self-reflection, and helped me remain grounded.

Share an affirmation, scripture, or words of encouragement for the women navigating their healing journey.

One powerful scripture for women on their healing journey is Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” This verse is a reminder that God sees your pain and is actively working to heal and restore you. No matter what you’ve been through, His love and grace are there to bring comfort and renewal.
