Women of F&W Series: Diamond B.
At what moment did you realize you needed healing —mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually, etc.?
I realized I needed healing when I reached a breaking point that changed everything for me. It was a moment that shook me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I knew I could no longer keep going the way I was. I recognized that I needed to change how I viewed myself and re-evaluate the situations I was in. It became clear that the only way forward was to take a step back and focus on myself, allowing space for true healing in all aspects of my life.
Based on challenges or struggles you were or are facing, how has faith helped you find strength in your healing journey?
In my healing journey, faith has been my anchor and my source of strength. Going to church provides me with a sense of community and a space to reconnect with my purpose. Journaling has been a way to not only process my thoughts and emotions but also to reflect on my growth and see the ways God is moving in my life. I’ve also sought additional help through therapy, understanding that healing is multifaceted and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Being one with nature brings me closer to God—it reminds me of His creation and the beauty that exists even in the midst of pain. But most importantly, my closeness to God comes from constant communication with Him throughout the day. Whether it’s through prayer, moments of gratitude, or just speaking my heart out, I find comfort in knowing He’s always listening. Faith doesn’t make the journey easier, but it makes me stronger. It reminds me that even on the hardest days, I am never truly alone.
How have wellness practices contributed to your healing journey?
Wellness practices have played a significant role in my healing journey. Practicing yoga and spending more time in silence have given me the space to truly sit with my thoughts and process my emotions. Those quiet moments allow me to reflect, gain clarity, and approach life with a calmer mind. Attending church has also been incredibly helpful—the messages and life lessons provide guidance and comfort, reminding me to keep faith and find strength even in difficult times. Altogether, these practices have helped me find balance mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
