Women of F&W Series: Nowela M.
At what moment did you realize you needed healing —mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually, etc.?
I realized I needed healing when I found myself questioning my worth after releasing three friendships that once meant everything to me. The way they treated me made me wonder if they ever truly valued me or if I had been blind to their true feelings all along. The emotional weight of that loss revealed wounds I hadn’t acknowledged—ones tied to my need for trust, consistency, and thoughtfulness in relationships. That moment forced me to pause, reflect, and commit to healing, not just from their absence, but from the doubts and insecurities their actions stirred within me.
Based on challenges or struggles you were or are facing, how has faith helped you find strength in your healing journey?
My season of singleness has been one of the most challenging yet refining journeys of my life. There have been moments when I’ve questioned if something is wrong with me or if I am simply undeserving of the love I deeply desire. Leaning into faith has given me the strength to trust that this season is not about lack but about preparation, and that God is using this time to shape me for the love and partnership He has ordained for me.
How have wellness practices contributed to your healing journey?
Wellness practices have allowed me to slow down, reflect, and prioritize self-discovery and growth, especially during seasons of transition. Engaging in movement through dance, and Pilates has helped me reconnect with my body and release stress. Prayer and mindfulness have provided me with peace and reassurance, reminding me that I am supported even when I feel alone.
